New printer+ music= my equation.

Woke up this morning only to find my old HP Photosmart 7600 dead on the scene. she gave me a good ten year run and well, I guess it was time to retired. Iv'e been pondering the all in one HP wireless printer for quite some time. I think im going to take the plunge and go get one at this point. The real reason why i need one is to have the ability to fax. My networked scanner that i currently have in place in my room does all that jive and then some however I have never seemed to get the fax working on it.

Side note: I will be performing with Miami's legendary band Majesty this evening at Miami Lakes Cafe and grill. Come join in on the fun. Great music, hot chicks, no cover. Cant beat that.

Dell mini 10v Hacintosh.

hackintosh_mini9_topcomp

Boy was this a long one in the making. I recently got an opportunity to perform a successful hackintosh. I have an Acer one aspire that I cloned to function as my corporate computer. This was only decided shortly after I was unsuccessful to hackintosh it. I felt really bummed out after I failed to read the destruction to the particular wireless card that it needed. Today I woke up as a determined man. I got my hands on a Dell mini 10 (by the way, This is the most compatible computer to use in order to do this successfully) and began the eventful painstaking process. There are lots of tutorials explaining on how to go about this process so there's a lot of material out there specially here mydellmini.com. If you are able to follow specific guided destructions I'll post the link and article of what you"ll need step by step to undergo your brand new hackintosh experiment and add it to your group family computer.

Here's how and what you'll need.

27" Wide display, simply gorgeous

Screen shot 2009-10-04 at 10.53.51 PM
My 27" inch display finally came in and it is all of that and then some. I wanted another monitor but did not know which way to go. I wanted something big that would display true colors. The mac displays are nice and all but I also was not ready to spend three grand on a 31 inch display. So i went with dell, they had exactly what I was looking for and for a little less than half the price. This is a big change from the old samsung that the "Ex-factor" managed to snagged from me, Bitch. (hope you enjoy that by the way). I definitely recommend this monitor for anyone that wants true colors and possibly a small TV replacement, and for those of you that gaming is the only thing you do on the PC, this monitor will apply to you as well.

Battery Nightmare.

bad-macbook-batt-top

Off I was once again to New York City. I didn't hesitate to take my macbook. Its lighter and besides it allows me to quickly pull it in and out of places. kinda sort of like my...never mind, Im not gonna go there. At any rate. So Im inside the airplane ready to take of and the captain gives the ok to use your personal electronics. I pop out my macbook and push the on the power button, Nothing!.

I was like what the hell is going on i clearly see the indicator battery button thats its fully loaded meaning the battery has full charge. Hmm at this point anything could help so I Zapp the RAM, hey I figure if anything is going to do it this is; It’s worth the shot. After doing so my laptop still was non responsive. Argggg this was pissing me of. If your one to know me you know that unsolved computer problems are my biggest pet peeves. I finally check in to my hotel room and decide to plug it into power. The damn thing starts right up but I have a hovering X all over my battery and this was cramping my style. I do some research on this and clearly I had a bad cell. I quickly contacted apple and will have to take it into the lincoln road store. Grrr ...the joys of faulty computer hardware. Especially when you trust a product so much. No big deal. All well ends well.
